Rodrigo Romero,

RPC Environment Ltd represents a group of professionals and engineers, with a large experience & expertise in environmental matters. With a broad range of international contacts (for instance, the Centre d’Expertise in Analyze Environnementale of Quebec, Canada, CEAEQ, Norwegian Institute for Air Research, NILU, Finnish Environmental Institute, SYKE among others), we have developed a comprehensive set of services for entities within the Chilean public and private sector.

This set includes, support in hazardous waste management, air quality and monitoring networks, analytical chemistry, complex field sampling, implementation and accreditation of environmental laboratories under international standards, in various matrices such as soil, air, hazardous waste and a series of related topics to MEAS (Stockholm, Basel Rotterdam and Minamata Conventions) , which we have developed over the past 20 years.

This experience, is currently being applied to other country’s realities, with similar challenges in the field of environmental matters. Especially with the focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control of collected data and strengthening national analytical capacities, both in hazardous waste management and air quality control.

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, Moscow RUDN University.
  • Large experience in environmental analytical chemistry, hazardous waste management, air pollution, gas phase pollutants / particulate matter characterization, environmental management and pollution control (enforcement), QA/QC procedures and international accreditation.
  • Applied knowledge on the international chemical agenda, related to hazardous/toxic chemicals as for instance Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and Mercury, under the Stockholm, Basel and Minamata Convention.
  • Broad international, life and working experience.
  • Multilingual capabilities (French, English, Spanish, Swedish and Russian)
  • Strong communication capabilities, team building, high capacity to adapting to different cultural and local environment.
